Oakland, CA

This is my favorite temple because it reminds me of Matthew 5:14 "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid." The Oakland Temple overlooks the whole bay and can be seen from almost anywhere. The temple is a symbolic representation of what we should be to the world. Every time I look at the Oakland Temple I am reminded of the effect one can have an a person through the light of the gospel. I know that the gospel of Christ brings true happiness and peace in this life, and that the temple is a binding link between man and God.

Porto Alegre, Brazil

This is a photo of the Porto Alegre Brazil Temple. It was taken just minutes before sunset while I was in my last area. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to attend the temple on a fairly regular basis while on my mission and really grew to love the temple and the spirit that it has.

Kim's Photos

This picture is very close to us because it was taken on our wedding day. We love the contrast in the picture as all you can see of the temple is the Angel Moroni in the background... You have to look pretty close though! It's the San Diego Temple.

This next picture is a picture I took my freshman year on a trip to do baptisms with my roommate's. The picture is beautiful and is especially close to me because now I am a temple worker at the Provo Temple. This temple has a lot of memories for me and I love it!

Holiness to the Lord. House of the Lord.

This obviously was taken on our wedding day. I love the Spokane WA temple! It was the first small temple to be dedicated. It isn't the most elaborate temple, but it has been dedicated to the Lord, making it simply beautiful. I love this picture because you can see the granite that the temple was made out of. I have one of the leftover pieces.

St. Louis, Missouri

This photo was taken on our wedding day, almost 3 years ago. It was taken by our wedding photographer. The reason we like it so much is because we were inside when it was taken. We like looking at this photo (which is hanging on our wall in our apartment) and knowing that at the instant it was taken, we were being sealed for eternity.
